Domed Label

A domed label is a two-component, transparent polyurethane-based label. The polyurethane material is mixed using specialized equipment and poured onto pre-prepared surfaces. This liquid mixture cures and hardens under specific environmental conditions or through heating techniques, forming the characteristic domed label.

The material spreads according to the principle of liquid distribution and stops at sharp edges or physical barriers designed to prevent overflow. It completes its reaction and hardens properly within the controlled environment. Depending on the amount of resin poured, the label can be produced in varying thicknesses, with an average thickness of approximately 1.6 mm.

Domed labels adhere strongly to the surface onto which they are applied, creating a nearly seamless bond. Suitable base materials for domed labeling include ABS, PVC, polycarbonate, polyester, and aluminum.
