What Is Electroplating?

What Is THINCUT®?

Electroforming is an advanced manufacturing process that enables the production of highly precise metal components by depositing metal atoms onto a shaped mold through an electrochemical reaction. This method is particularly valuable for creating components that require fine details and micro-level precision, making it an ideal solution for applications such as high-quality labels, logos, decorative elements, and components used in sectors like electronics, home appliances, boilers, automotive, and furniture.

Unlike traditional manufacturing techniques, electroforming builds metal layers incrementally, allowing the production of parts with micron-level accuracy. This process results in components that precisely replicate the original design and feature smooth surfaces without the need for additional finishing or polishing.

The technology supports a variety of metallic coatings, including nickel, copper, and palladium-nickel alloys, and allows customization with different textures and colors.

Electroforming is especially effective for producing lightweight yet durable metal labels and logos. These labels are typically self-adhesive and can be easily applied to various surfaces without losing their aesthetic appeal.

Labels produced by Edes Etiket using the electroforming method are licensed under the brand name THINCUT® and have been widely adopted across the industry.
